Location
Markham, Ontario
 
We are hiring for multiple co-op/intern positions that vary between on-site and hybrid. Students will be required to work in the office on a schedule based on the team’s requirements.
 
Program Term
12-month position from May 6, 2024 – April 25, 2025
 
The Role
As a Validation Engineer Co-op, you will work closely with experienced validation engineers and quality assurance teams to validate systems or processes. You will aid the continuous test plan development and validation of AMD GPU’s board and system design.
 
What you’ll be doing
Capture and document system level requirements of new generation of AMD products
Assist with development of validation plans and process
Create and execute test cases to validate product functionality, quality and compliance
Document analyses, design and testing methodologies
Communicate with various internal departments to resolve anomalies
What you’ll learn
You may gain the following experience 
Exposure to quality control, compliance, test execution, triage and debug validation
Increase technical abilities in validation, testing and debugging  
Lab work
Job Requirements: Key Qualifications
3rd year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
Returning to school following the co-op term
Verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
Please have knowledge in one or more of the following:
Languages: Verilog or VHDL
Familiarity with Linux and MS operating systems
Familiarity with laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes and function generators
Basic understanding of computer system architecture
Basic understanding of analog and digital electronics
