| Job Description: |
The Test Engineering internship role provides students with the opportunities to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment and to support/promote the students’ career goals through contacts with professionals in their fields of study. The internship experience enables students to participate in professional activities for Magna by working on important and innovative projects. Our internships are structured learning experiences where interns and our full-time professionals work together on projects within functional departments. The internship assignments allow students to integrate knowledge and skills in manners that are mutually beneficial to the students and Magna. Key Responsibilities • Participate in manufacturing problem-solving teams, lead or assist in implementation of corrective actions • Identify, design and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement in tester cycle time, throughput and cost reduction • Test Fixture Improvements, including design, prototyping, line trial, verification and implementation • Research, develop, and implement custom software and/or hardware solutions for test improvement • Maintain and improve existing software application and database used for business operation • Assist Test Engineers to Perform Calibrations and PMs on testers • Develop standard documentation and technical work instructions, provide training to users • Collaborate with external vendors to procure parts, services and integration solutions to improve test performance • Perform data mining & data analysis on tester and product related characteristics, such as MSA Studies. • Develop and maintain KPI data tracking via PowerBI reports and other data analysis and visualization tools • Support the test engineers and production team in day-to-day activities as required |

| Job Requirements: |
• Preferred Engineering Discipline: Electrical / Computer / Mechatronic • Ideal candidates must have good interpersonal skills and strong computer skills • Strong Work ethic and problem-solving skills, and ability to manage deadlines and multiple concurrent tasks • Capable of self-learning and generating own tasks • Solid skills in a high-level programming language (e.g. C#, Python) required • Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings • Intermediate to advanced level of knowledge of Excel or other data processing application/language would an asset • Substantial extracurricular involvement is an asset • To be considered, students must have a minimum, overall GRADE AVERAGE OF "B". |
