Job Description:	There’s a New Energy on Board! The Data and Application Services team is responsible for managing aircraft reliability data, business intelligences systems, technical publication system and related infrastructure. In this role you will contribute to leveraging technical publication data to create value for the internal and external stakeholders.  This will be accomplished through the support exiting tools and the migration to new tools and applications in a cloud environment.   Your tasks will include: Provide support to the technical publications authoring system backend Address internal and external user application and data support issues Develop and/or maintain data load, data extraction, data validation and data transformation scripts Obtain user acceptance for defined and completed deliverables Take ownership of customer success by focusing on their needs when we design features, write code, write tests and fix bugs Work with other developers through code reviews and design sessions to create the best code possible   You will develop the following skills: First 4 months is overlapping period with existing intern who will train and pass the knowledge to you Last 4 months of your work term where you can practice your leadership skill as a senior experienced developer to teach new intern. Cross training different skills (front-end, back-end design and programming) within the team on various apps and database to become a well-rounded professional Mentor and guidance from senior staff and supervisor Software Troubleshooting and Development Migration to new software systems Working in a development team Customer support   Additional details: Position located at East Mississauga, Ontario – hybrid working schedule (2 days in office, 3 days' working from home)
Job Requirements:	The skills you bring: Enrolled in one of the following programs: Computer Science, or Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, etc), ideally in your third year of the program.Have knowledge of command-line Unix/Linux environments Have knowledge of SQL, XML, XML schema, XSLT, XSLT-FO, XPATH, XHTML Have knowledge of S1000D and any publication authoring system support experience Know programming language:  Python, Java Know MS Office suite (particularly Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint) Excellent communicator and self-starter. Strong team player. Detail oriented. Knowledge of French is an asset
