Job Description: Circle Cardiovascular Imaging Inc. is a Calgary based company that develops analytics software for the evaluation of cardiovascular MR and CT images. Circle operates worldwide and has installations of their products cmr42, cvi42, and report42 in over 25 countries. Circle’s goal is to contribute to quality in cardiovascular imaging and research, maximizing the achievable benefit for patients by enabling healthcare providers to analyze cardiovascular images accurately and effectively.
 
We are seeking talented internship students that are passionate about quality to join our QA team.  You will be part of a creative development team working on challenging problems, while learning from others in an agile and dynamic environment.  The complexity level of your work assignments will vary depending on project timelines, your initiative and ability to deliver.
 
General Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to a range of quality assurance, validation, and verification activities for ongoing product development on multiple platforms (Windows, Mac OS, and Linux)
  • Plan and conduct investigations to evaluate the software from a technical perspective to determine capabilities, limitations and benchmarks in multiple network and hardware environments
  • Analyze the data from test results to assess the robustness, stability, and performance of the software
  • Create, modify, execute test cases to verify functional specifications
  • Establish and maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all work
  • Interact with developers and managers on technical issues, impact, and risk areas
  • Troubleshoot issues found during testing and assist in problem analysis
  • Develop new automation test scripts or software tools to assist in all stages of the product lifecycle
Job Requirements:
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Engineering
  • Working knowledge of C++, Java, JavaScript, or similar
  • Familiar with client-server or n-tier application architectures
  • Passionate about quality
  • Able to install and configure new hardware/software with minimal assistance
  • Keen interest in biological sciences/medical/healthcare applications is a plus


This role may be funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Student Work Placement Program (SWPP). Therefore candidates must meet ALL of the following program eligibility requirements:
 
Be registered in a full-time or part-time post-secondary program;
Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection given under the law;
Be legally able to work in Canada according to the laws and regulations of the province or territory where you live.
