NerveX is a neurotechnology company specializing in wearable and implantable devices for neural interfacing. The company was founded by a renowned neurosurgeon (Dr. Taufik Valiante) and electrical and computer engineer (Dr. Gerard O’Leary). Over the past 6 years at the University of Toronto and University Health Network, the founding team developed state-of-the-art devices for closed-loop neuromodulation (patented and published) for the treatment of epilepsy. The company emerged from the 2020 cohort of the University of Toronto Early Stage Technology commercialization program (UTEST) and 2022 Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) and has gone on to win the Connaught Innovation Award, the RBC Prize for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and secured private funding. There are 3 engineering positions available in the following areas, with the ideal candidates having experience in all 3:

| Job Requirements: |
Software Engineering: - Demonstrated experience with AWS - Database Management - Web/UI/UX development Firmware Engineering: - Experience in C/Assembly - ARM and RTOS experience a plus - Digital systems design with Verilog - Comfortable working with test instruments including oscilloscopes and logic analyzer Machine Learning Engineering: - Demonstrated experience working with time-series datasets - Experience with digital signal processing - Experience with common ML frameworks including scikit-learn and TensorFlow - Open to learning about custom hardware-based machine learning accelerators |
