Location Markham, Ontario We are hiring for multiple co-op/intern positions that vary between on-site and hybrid. Students will be required to work in the office on a schedule based on the team’s requirements. Program Term 16-month position from May 6, 2024 – Aug 29, 2025 The Role We are seeking talented and motivated software engineering co-op students to join a variety of software teams. At AMD, we develop real-world software solutions, drivers and development tools to ensure processors and graphics cards work seamlessly. What you’ll be doing Deliver software required to support the next generation AMD products Planning, executing deliverables, tracking execution until launch Participate in code and design reviews Testing, profiling, debug techniques, documentation, version control, issue tracking, planning, and program management What you’ll learn You may gain the following experience Visibility to software project cycle Increase technical abilities in software design Industry exclusive design experience Lab skills Teamwork |

| Job Requirements: |
Key Qualifications 3rd Year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline Returning to school following the co-op term Written and verbal communication and presentation skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an emphasis on product development Preferred Qualifications Please have knowledge of one or more of the following technical skills: Languages: C, C++, Python/Perl/Shell, R, VBA, Selenium, Verilog, SQL, or other database technologies Experience in web applications using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, with web frameworks such as Angular or React Experience with Linux/UNIX Best practices of software development |
