Software Engineer (Co-op) Mission Tetra Trust was founded in 2019 and is Canada’s first and currently only registered trust company custodian for digital assets. As a trust company, Tetra is the first to offer a custody solution with the asset protection and the financial controls institutional entities need to operate within the digital asset market. To do so we have partnered with some of the technology leaders in the space and remain committed to stay on the cutting edge of digital asset custody. We are now looking for a co-op student for a 12- or 16-month term starting May 2024. What will you do ● Make meaningful technical contributions to our institutional digital asset custody product by delivering secure, resilient, highly available, and supportable software ● Work through the phases of discovery, requirements, design, implementation, and deployment on projects ● Collaborate across the company to build products that have visibility, transparency, and tracking for agreed upon timelines ● Participate in determining task priorities and deadlines as well as providing feedback on other projects and team milestones ● Shape the foundation of the product and business that you work on Why choose Tetra ● Gain experience with cryptocurrency, cryptography, and cybersecurity ● Solve interesting, challenging, and unique problems in the ever evolving field of digital asset custody ● Deliver a high-quality system that will have a growing number of customers ● Work on a collaborative team that strives to learn and grow ● Learn to create quality software with well-defined specifications in a supported environment |

| Job Requirements: |
What we are looking for ● Working towards a degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience ● Commitment and accountability for quality, technical excellence, and results ● Curiosity and enthusiasm to learn, experiment, and deliver innovative solutions ● Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English Highly desired past experience/future interest ● Experience designing and implementing high security, mission-critical systems ● Experience shipping production code with full instrumentation: deployment, logging, monitoring, and documentation ● Experience creating web services and evolving REST APIs ● Experience delivering software in a highly regulated environment ● Familiarity with constructing managed and automated infrastructure ● Experience with frontend development (e.g. HTML, CSS, React.js) ● Experience with AWS ● Knowledge of serverless ● Strong understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies including projects outside of professional environments Tetra’s tech stack currently consists of Node.js, TypeScript, and React.js. However, there are no requirements to be proficient in these technologies. Tetra’s expectation is that the successful candidate can quickly become productive with any existing or new technologies as required for the role—you have the ability and eagerness to learn.
