Location
Markham, Ontario 
 
This is an on-site role as the hiring team will require the student to work in the Markham office throughout the entire duration of the co-op work term.
 
Program Term 
12-month position from May 6, 2024 - April 25, 2025 
 
The Role 
The SDK Software Developer Co-op will be directly involved on supporting Gaming and Open Source Developer Libraries for Virtual Reality, Spatial Audio, and Multimedia for various projects during their work term.
 
What you'll be doing 
Resolve customer, quality, and certification issues
Validate functionality for upcoming hardware platforms
Design and develop test applications to validate hardware and software functionality and quality assurance programs
Active participation in code and design reviews
Execution of tasks assigned by senior technical staff and manager

Job Requirements: Key Qualifications
3rd Year pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Science, Mechatronics, or a related field/discipline
Must be returning to school following the internship
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Software development experience
Strong analytical skills and detailed oriented

Preferred Qualifications
Programming Languages: C++, C and proficient in OOP design & development
Operating Systems: Windows, Linux
Gaming development experience is an asset
Knowledge of Direct3D, OpenGL, OpenCL is an asset 
Knowledge of video encoding and audio processing algorithms
Experience on Microsoft Visual Studio
