The Reliability and Cost Analysis team is responsible for managing aircraft reliability data, business intelligences systems and Aircraft Maintenance Cost.
In this role you will contribute to leveraging data to create value for the internal and external stakeholders.  This will be accomplished through the development, delivery and support of new and existing tools and applications. 
Your tasks will include:
  • Build a theoretical model to characterize the reliability performance of the CRJ100/200/700/900/1000;
  • Deliver dashboard that provides detail data to every serialized component installed in the Fleet;
  • Take ownership of customer success by focusing on their needs when we design features, write code, write tests and fix bugs;
  • Build features optimized to work in both the cloud and on-premise software;
  • Build your own server-side Python code and make use of open source to create a robust high-performance backend;
  • Implement responsive front-end using React JS;
  • Develop and implement high level algorithms using Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence in order to proper predict the Component Failure/Removal;
  • Make documentation associated with the tool(s)
  • Identify, manage, analyze, and interpret data to support the creation of meaningful and actionable insights to support the growth of our businesses
  • Continually work with data through various parts of the data life cycle (i.e. Build data pipelines, feature engineering, data deep dives, machine learning model development, etc.)
  • Work with other developers through code reviews and design sessions to refine code

Additional details:
  • Position located at East Mississauga, Ontario – flexible working schedule with expectation to be physically working at the office when required (subject to change while adhering to provincial guidelines for COVID-19)
Job Requirements: The skills you bring:
  • Are enrolled in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a similar engineering program
  • Know programming languages: Python, Flask, React JS
  • Have knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure and Development (MS Azure, Devops)
  • Have knowledge of databases and SQL language (SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Preferred: MS Office suite (particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and business intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableau, MicroStrategy)
  • Preferred: Have knowledge of GIT
  • Are an excellent communicator and self-starter. Strong team player. Detail oriented.
