The Opportunity
  • Department: Project Management Office (PMO)
  • Location: Toronto, ON
 
You will be a member of our Project Controls & Management Group.
 
The work involves (not limited to):
  1. Interfacing with project managers, planners, other engineering disciplines and our main clients.
  2. With guidance, participating in the development and process improvement via automation of project management BI (Business Intelligence) reports. Typical projects may include:
  • Managing and improving the weekly reporting systems for multiple portfolios of projects
  • Creating new BI and automated reports to solve specific client requests involving multiple stakeholders’ input
  • Interfacing with project managers stationed at the client’s site to assist them with automation and analysis of data
  • Using project management scheduling software to develop and track schedule progress
  1. Working, as needed, with the Kinectrics and Bruce Power programming team to develop and improve in-house tools.
  2. Participating and recommending innovative projects and solution to existing issues.

Job Requirements: Job Requirements
The following knowledge is essential to perform the job:
  • Sound fundamental knowledge of engineering and/or science principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and aptitude in project management
  • Excellent written and oral communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Bruce Power Site Access Security Clearance (asset, but not mandatory)
 
Strong understanding of the following will also be an asset, but not mandatory:
  •  C#, Python, SQL, VBAs, React, .NET Core
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access, and Visual Basic for Applications
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Basic understanding of MS PowerBI is an asset
  • Understanding of Microsoft Azure and Azure Pipelines

Computer Science, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, Civil or Nuclear Engineering, Engineering Science, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent.
