The Opportunity  
You will be a member of our Project Controls & Management Group.
 
The work involves (not limited to):
  1. Interfacing with project managers, project controls specialists, planners, design engineers, and our main clients.
  2. With guidance, participating in the development of project management reports, schedules and costing analysis. Typical projects may include:
  • Performing cost and/or schedule analysis reports to assess project health
  • Interfacing with project managers stationed at the client’s site to assist them with project requirements and metrics
  • Using project management scheduling software to update and track spending and schedule progress
  • Creating financial reports that are used in the invoicing and accrual process
  • Using Visual Studio and Helpsmith to author software help guides to aid program users
  1. Working in a team environment to solve multiple challenging problems, create new automated reports, and respond to emergent client request (with oversight from technical specialists).

Job Requirements: Job Requirements
The following knowledge is essential to perform the job:
  • Sound fundamental knowledge of engineering and/or science principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and aptitude in project management
  • Excellent written and oral communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Bruce Power Site Access Security Clearance (asset, but not mandatory)
 
Strong understanding of the following will also be an asset, but not mandatory, to be involved with other high-profile projects and initiatives:
  • Programming in different languages and modification of codes in MS Excel Macros (VBA)
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Basic understanding of BI tools is helpful but not necessary (QlikView/Power BI)

Computer Science, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, Civil or Nuclear Engineering, Engineering Science, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent.
