Job Description: The Pipeline Department at SpinVFX is responsible for developing and supporting software used by artists in the production of high quality Visual Effects. Our pipeline software spans across proprietary systems, artist facing tools and integration of commercial digital content creation softwares such as Maya, Nuke, Katana etc.
Job Requirements: This Pipeline internship is aimed at giving you a chance to get familiar with a professional production environment, get coached by industry professionals and gain hands-on experience of pipeline development during your internship. As an intern, you will work with pipeline peers to craft state-of-the-art tools, techniques, do required research, aid the execution of the current projects and yes, you will impact the lives of many artists! The role requires a strong understanding of computer science, software engineering practices, communication skills and your enthusiasm. We are excited to bring you onboard and help you develop valuable skills to jumpstart your career!


Qualifications:
Undergraduate in Computer Science
Experience in software development using programming language such as Python, C++
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and quick learner
Good communication and cross group collaboration skills
Exposure to DCC tools like Photoshop, Maya, Blender, AfterEffects is desired
Technical skills
Good in Python 2.x/3.x
Strong background in OOP and algorithms
VC systems like git
Knowledge of bash scripting and linux is required
Knowledge of python implementations of Qt UI framework is desirable
Familiarity of C++ is desirable
Familiarity with ray tracing, shaders and computer graphics is desirable
Familiarity of python web frameworks like Django/Flask is desirable
Familiarity with JS frameworks is desirable
Familiarity of databases (Postgres/MySQL/MongoDB) would be beneficial
Experience
Demonstrate any personal or last semester computer science projects
