We are looking for a Junior Fullstack Engineer for a 12-16 month internship to build elegant, accessible and performant public library websites for millions of users as part of the Web and Email team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to primarily work on the frontend, but also contribute to the backend and even infrastructure as well. You are always looking to automate, improve processes, and follow best practices How you’ll make an impact: - Evolve our BiblioWeb product on PHP/Wordpress to create beautiful user interfaces - Contribute to our BiblioEmail marketing automation product to increase patron engagement - Debug and perform root cause analysis when troubleshooting issues - Participate in design, code review, and best practices discussions - Collaborate effectively with a smart and passionate team of Development, QA, Product and UX to deliver on time What you will bring to the team: - Computer Science/Engineering program - Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 - A strong theoretical foundation in data structures and algorithms - Excellent problem solving and debugging skills - Excellent communication skills and collaborative across teams - Motivated to build great user facing applications - Passionate about learning new technologies |
