Job Description: Position: Full Stack Software Developer (Co-op Work Term – 12 months)
 
Temerity Analytics Inc. is a Toronto-based Marketing Cloud services provider founded in 2017. Our mission is to empower marketers with data and insights to attain greater efficiencies, transparency and performance from their marketing investments.
 
By leveraging Merln, our proprietary business intelligence platform - powered by integrated CRM, advertising and validated second-party data - marketers will be able to further define existing customers, profile current high-value customers and identify look-a-like prospects for targeting via both online and offline media channels through one centralized system.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and build features and functionalities that meet business requirements
  • Optimize application functionality, code/product quality, and development processes as required
  • Design and execute implementation approach with consideration of subsequent release(s) and overall product roadmap
  • Ensure software and system architectures are in synchronization
  • Work in collaboration with product development, data analytics, cloud, and creative design team members to incorporate business requirements, user experience, user interface design, client-based analyses, etc. into product design and development
  • Identify potential implementation issues and recommend improvements to product design and/or development processes
  • Identify and address bugs and other technical issues
  • Develop appropriate test scripts and/or execute testing for product quality assurance (QA); support QA and code reviews
  • Produce technical documentation(s)
  • Support client implementations and onboarding
Job Requirements: Education/Experience
  • Pursuing Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study, and/or equivalent practical experience
Skills
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in combining UI technologies (eg. JavaScript, CSS, jQuery) and asynchronous techniques (eg. Ajax)
  • Demonstrated software development in Python and Django
  • Understanding and some prior experience with SQL databases (no-SQL is an asset)
  • Experience with versioning applications such as GIT, GitLab or GitHub
  • Experience administering a Linux/UNIX system
  • Quick to pick up new tools, systems and programming languages
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and stay abreast of data analytics/insights, visualization, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence technology developments and standards
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - independently & collaboratively in a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Passionate and enthusiastic for innovation in the tech industry
 
Assets:
  • Proficient understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures, and algorithms
  • Working experience with Javascript libraries/frameworks such as ReactJS, Angular, etc.
  • Ability to perform data analytics, draw data insights, and utilize data analytic tools
  • Knowledge of basic machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Aptitude for statistics, data analytics/data science
