Job Description: Department:                            Streetcar Infrastructure
Reports to:                              Senior Designer/Engineer - Electrical Engineering
Discipline:                                Electrical

You will be working in the Electrical Engineering Section of the Streetcar Infrastructure Department.  You will be part of a team of Engineers and Designers producing designs for a large variety of electrical systems. 
 
Main Responsibilities
  • The production/alteration/organization of drawings related to electrical (both AC and DC power), traction power and overhead systems
  • Assist in designs and concentrate on a particular area of interest, if at all possible
Job Requirements: Skills/Knowledge/Experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software an asset.
  • Proficiency in CAD (Microstation preferred).
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
Physical Demands/Working Conditions

In addition to your bi-weekly salary, you will receive a TTC photo-identification pass that entitles you to free use of the transit system in the City of Toronto during the duration of your work‑term. 
 
**PLEASE NOTE: 
  1. Updated Policy: A co-op student can work a maximum of two work terms at the TTC. If you have already completed two co-op work terms at the TTC, we apologize but you are ineligible to apply.
  2. PLEASE NOTE:  Students are required to provide (at your own expense) a current Police Clearance Letter prior to start date.
  3. This position is designated Safety-Sensitive under the TTC’s Fitness for Duty Policy. You will be required to pass a drug test as part of the certification process.
  4. Students are required to visit some work sites which will result in some exposure to construction site conditions (e.g. dirt, inclement weather etc.).
