The Role
Are you passionate about creating quality software used at multiple AMD sites around the world? Do you want to help improve experiences of cutting-edge AMD CPU, APU, and graphics products? If so, AMD Software Infrastructure team is the right place for you. We develop and support massive systems that improve the productivity of the SW Organization in areas including DevOps, Advanced Web-Based Tools, Test Automation as well as Project, Release and Change Management solutions. We develop across full stack from infrastructure, container, database to API, and Web leveraging the latest technologies and development tools.
 
What you’ll be doing
As a developer, you will take ownership of applications in the DevOps domain.
Collaborate with the DevOps team, utilizing cutting-edge tools.
Join forces with skilled engineers to create new features and resolve production issues, providing you with valuable experience and exposure to a dynamic world-class development team

Job Requirements: Key Qualifications
3rd Year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
Returning to school following the co-op term
Written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an emphasis on product development

Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with systems like Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, Docker is advantageous.
Proficiency in scripting languages like TypeScript, Groovy, Perl, Python.
Practical exposure to SCM systems and code review tools, including GitHub, Gerrit, Bitbucket, GitLab, is a bonus.
Experience with relational database systems, SQL queries, and comprehension of database principles is a plus.
Understanding of computer hardware components, with the ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software, is an advantage.

Comfortable with development in both Windows and Linux environments.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with effective presentation abilities.
Prior experience as an API developer is a valuable asset.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts is a plus.
Proficiency in Kubernetes is highly beneficial for this role.
