The nature of finance is changing, and the Aiden team within RBC Capital Markets team is now recruiting the next generation of AI engineers that will bring in new cutting-edge trading and digital analytics solutions.

At RBC Capital Markets, AI and machine learning are powering the next generation of digital trading and analytics solutions for our clients. Developers and AI Engineers on the Aiden team are at the center of this evolution, working together to apply leading-edge methods and utilizing the latest technology to deliver RBC’s innovative reinforcement learning trading algorithm, provide data-driven trading insights directly to clients, and other products powered by AI. Your technical and problem-solving skills will grow while also gaining a more entrepreneurial mindset by working collaboratively with developers, various product teams, and cross-functional sales and trading teams. Work alongside the developers of Aiden and contribute to exciting research projects that will deliver value to the firm and client-driven insights to help teams across Capital Markets better serve their clients.

What will you do?
  • Apply unconventional and innovative machine learning techniques to solve cutting-edge business problems
  • Use your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to improve the performance of machine learning algorithms and integrate AI in client-focused applications
  • Develop key support systems and frameworks to help train and explain the actions of our machine learning algorithms
  • Collaborate with traders and subject matter experts across the trade floor
  • Be challenged to think critically within a collaborative team working on a variety of projects for Canada’s largest trade floor
Job Requirements: Core Competencies:
  • Creative and first principles problem solving approach
  • Programming experience in Python machine learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch)
  • Proficiency in optimization and Bayesian statistics
  • Interest in developing machine learning models
  • Strong desire to be part of a team
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience in finance not required
