This is a hybrid role (remote & in-office) as the hiring team will require the student to come to the Markham office at least 1 day a week. COVID-19 protocols are being strictly followed.
Program Term
The role is a 16-month position from May 6, 2024 – August 29, 2025

The Role:
We are seeking talented, self-motivated individuals to help develop innovations that enable industry-leading power efficient computing and graphics products. In this role, you will be supporting the Mixed Signal Design, Methodology, RTL and Digital Design groups. 

What you’ll be doing
Verilog RTL coding for design and verification
 Collaborate with analog designers to understand the circuit that the RTL is interacting with
Analysis and debug failures
Run the latest cutting-edge tools to assure the quality of the design, in some cases be the trailblazer and expert on the team of these tools.
Scripting to automate processes which provide the backbone to our designs.

What you’ll learn
Design background of High speed server memories such as DDR5. RTL coding styles, python based scripting, design methodologies.
You will be able to contribute to the latest and greatest GPU and APU technology working on the DDR IP Team.
Practical, real-life application of key engineering principles which include, research, coding, and debug
Strong technical skills to build in your portfolio.
Job Requirements: Key Qualifications
Scripting skills (Python/Perl)
Enrolled in an Electrical Eng. or Comp Eng. Program
Coursework or background in computer architecture, computer science, electrical engineering, object oriented programming and python scripting skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Basic Verilog coding
